Acceptable Use Policy
Rules governing acceptable use of T3 VoiceNet systems and services.
Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), including the list of prohibited activities below, is an integral part of your Hosting Agreement with T3 VoiceNet, LLC. If you engage in activities prohibited by this AUP, T3 VoiceNet may suspend or terminate your account. The Policy is designed to help protect T3 VoiceNet, its customers and the Internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities. The list is non-exclusive, and T3 VoiceNet reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time, effective upon posting.
1. Unlawful Material
Transmission, distribution or storage of material in violation of applicable law or regulation is prohibited, including material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual-property rights used without proper authorization, and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat or violates export-control laws.
2. Unsolicited Bulk Email
Sending any form of unsolicited bulk email (UBE or spam) through T3 VoiceNet servers is prohibited. Sending UBE from another provider that advertises a website, email address or other resource hosted on T3 VoiceNet servers is also prohibited. T3 VoiceNet accounts or services may not be used to solicit customers from or collect replies to messages sent from another ISP when those messages violate this Policy or that provider’s policy.
3. Unconfirmed Mailing Lists
Subscribing email addresses to a mailing list without express and verifiable permission is prohibited. Mailing lists operated by T3 VoiceNet customers must use confirmed opt-in, and confirmation records must be retained. Purchasing third-party email lists for mailing from a T3 VoiceNet-hosted domain or referencing a T3 VoiceNet account is prohibited.
4. Tools Designed to Violate an AUP
Advertising, transmitting or otherwise making available software, programs, products or services designed to violate this AUP or another provider’s AUP is prohibited, including tools facilitating unsolicited bulk email, ping flooding, mail-bombing or denial-of-service attacks.
5. Known Spam Operations
Operating an account on behalf of, in connection with, or reselling service to persons or firms listed in the Spamhaus Register of Known Spam Operations (ROKSO) is prohibited.
6. Unauthorized Access
Unauthorized attempts to gain access to any account or computer resource not belonging to the user are prohibited.
7. Avoiding Payment
Obtaining or attempting to obtain service by any means or device with intent to avoid payment is prohibited.
8. Customer Information
Unauthorized access, alteration, destruction or attempted access, alteration or destruction of information belonging to T3 VoiceNet customers or end users is prohibited.
9. Harassment and Denial of Service
Knowingly engaging in activities designed to harass or cause denial of service to another user, whether on the T3 VoiceNet network or another provider’s network, is prohibited.
10. Network Interference
Using T3 VoiceNet services to interfere with use of the T3 VoiceNet network by other customers or authorized users is prohibited.
Customer Responsibility for Users
Each T3 VoiceNet customer is responsible for the activities of its users and agrees to ensure that its customers, representatives and end users abide by this Policy. Complaints about users of a T3 VoiceNet customer may be forwarded to the customer for action. T3 VoiceNet reserves the right to terminate service or take other action to stop violations as it deems appropriate, without notice.
